From the creators of Little Shop of Horrors and A Chorus Line, Smile follows the optimistic hopefuls of The 1985 Young American Miss Pageant in Santa Rosa, California as they navigate the fine line between innocent teenager and cynical pageant contestant. The show’s tuneful score by Howard Ashman and Marvin Hamlisch features the hits “Disneyland,” “In Our Hands,” and "Typical High School Senior.”
